EARTH HOUR 2008 20-03-2008
20:00 - 21:00 29 March 2008
It started with a question: How can we inspire people to take action on climate change?
The answer: Ask the people of Sydney to turn off their lights for one hour.
On 31 March 2007, 2.2 million people and 2100 Sydney businesses turned off their lights for one hour - Earth Hour. If the greenhouse reduction achieved in the Sydney CBD during Earth Hour was sustained for a year, it would be equivalent to taking 48,616 cars off the road for a year.
With Sydney icons like the Harbour Bridge and Opera House turning their lights off, and unique events such as weddings by candlelight, the world took notice. Inspired by the collective effort of millions of Sydneysiders, many major global cities are joining Earth Hour in 2008, turning a symbolic event into a global movement.

OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF NEW INDUCTION CENTRE 20-12-2007
Over 200 people wereinvited to attend the official launch of the first ICA induction centre in Western Australia on Monday, 26 November 2007.
The new Bibra Lake centre was opened by special guest, 2005 Australian of the Year, Dr Fiona Wood, with other key speakers The Honourable Michelle Roberts (MLA), The Honourable Paul Omodei (MLA), Thys Heyns (MD BP Kwinana), Keith Spence (Exec VP Woodside), Martin Ralph (CEO IFAP), and Peter Meurs (MD Worley Parsons).
Guests were invited to tour the facility, and were taken through scenarios using the equipment on-site and had training methods explained. This gave them a clear picture of the capabilities of the centre.
This new centre in Bibra Lake will commence full operations shortly after the launch. Currently, pilot courses are being run for sponsor companies. Work is about to commence on the second ICA Induction centre in Gladstone QLD. ICA has also assisted the building of a centre in Qatar U.A.E (this centre is currently under construction.)
